Jean Luc turned around to face his tactical officer. He gave him a little glare just to show him that he did not appreciate being interrupted at such a time as it was. There seemed to be too many variables at that time to go against Gowrons’s request.
“As you wish, but If my tactical officer has any engineering difficulties I will make it so that my Chief Engineer takes a look at it.”
“So be it.”
There was a little sound and a flicker of light that came across the view screen. There was a moment of silence. No one on the entire bridge really knew what to say at that moment.
“Transporter Room 1, prepare to transport a large device directly into main engineering.”
“Aye sir.” Miles O’Brien’s voice ran over the comm. System.
The captain stood still for a few more seconds then started to walk into his ready room across the bridge and to the left of the view screen.
“Worf, please join me in my ready room at your earliest convenience.
